XCOM 2 Alien activity freeze GAMEBREAKER

Hey everyone!
So I have this miserable game breaking bug: I finish my turn, "Alien Activity starts" and that's it - they don't do anything. Seems like A LOT of people have this problem, but there is still no solution. I want to play this game, I've paid a lot of money for it and now I'm having an amateur level performance bug? Seriously? Can't play it for almost 3 months already... Someone has any news about the fix for this?

Get rid of your broken mods you are using.
delete the .ini files in mygame/xcom2/xcomgame/config folder and re-verify installation of the game.

If that does not help then you are using a faulty mod that has broken ai scripts.
Delete the mod.

If you are still having problems after that then your computer is running out of ram and it cannot process the aliens ai.

First of all: I'm not using any mods.
Second - my RAM works fine. It's an inner bug that's conected to the VIP hostage situation. When we see theVIP for the first time and don't subdue him - this is what happens. Had to rerun the level A THOUSAND TIMES until I subdued the VIP in the apropriate manner.

I've played loads of dark VIP missions without subduing the VIP as soon as I see them. There must have been something unusual going on.
