Slowing down the Avatar Project.

Hey everyone.

I played this game now for almost 200 hours. And i was wonering is there a way or a Mod to slow down the Avatar Project.

Its not the difficulty or something. I just want to do all the scanning and missions and dont be under pressure all the time and skip stuff because i have to hunt down the Facilitys to lower the Avatar Project bar. All the time im playing the game i get to the point where i have to ignore almost everything and gather information, make contacts and build communication buildings. But i dont want to ignore all around me.

I was looking in the workshop but only found Mod where they did change other things too. I dont want a Marathon Mod. This only makes everything takes longer.
What im looking for is the Normal Game as it is just with the progress of the Avatar Project slower.

Anyone can help me here please?

I'd like to know this as well. I'm too much of a completionist to be bothered by Firaxis' version of what a good time should be. I would like to stay and play it all and see it all than to be given the Cliffnotes and hurried along.

You could have just gone and looked in the workshop there's quite a few different avatar adjustment mods. Try this one...

Did you even look in the steam workshop ? They have a search function there just like they do here...... Ill use the search function on your EXACT title, lets see what you would have found.........

Just FYI that was a forum search not a workshop search.

Workshop would display mods not threads:

It also says " discussions " in the link...................thats a clue where the search was initiated.

I did search. And all i got is mods that change too much. Same with the links you suggested. I dont want to stop it at all or change the game. I just want to slow it down. Thats why i did ask here for help.

Slow Avatar (which I linked above) does that with no other major changes

Well it changes the Dark Events. But thats a minor change. I think i can live with that. Thank you.

It only changes them at the start, you won't even notice after the first month

you could also edit the .ini setting to increase the avatar counter- that could also be a solution, without any mods

open DefaultGameData.ini, which is located in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Config (if you use the default install location)

hit Strg-F for the find tool, search for AlienHeadquarters.

One of the lines look like AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue

In the next lines you find the starting value, and the max value


looks like this
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[0]=0 ;Easy
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[0]=10
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[1]=0 ;Normal
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[1]=10
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[2]=0 ;Classic
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[2]=10
AlienHeadquarters_DoomStartValue[3]=0 ;Impossible
AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[3]=10

edit as you like (maybe backup the file), save, done

As i remember it works also if you continue a game (but not sure)
