when you disable LoA you can choose one start faction in advanced startoptions. you have one of that faction heros right in gatecrasher. but why woud you want one of this 2 weak heros when you can have a templer right from start who can carry the whole game? the rest you need to get with Ring Missions, like usual.
I realize this conversation was over a week ago, but just FYI - you can save Mox and Dragunova to your character pool and then they will show up as your Skirmisher and Reaper even without L&A. Alternatively, I'm fairly sure that one of the female Reaper voice options is voiced by Marina Sirtis and one of the male Skirmisher voice options is voiced by Michael Dorn. So you can get their voices even on "random" Skirmishers and Reapers.
Honestly, the only reason I keep Lost and Alone disabled is because I like to start with the Templars. Also means deactivating Gatecrasher, which is tedious to play but is much more satisfying than blowing up a statue.
