Fire . . .. .
This game really needs a better warning system that they are gonna path me through ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire. Or an option to never be pathed through it or something. My game is basicially ruinned because for some reason it decided i need to run through fire. ♥♥♥♥ like that Ruins ironman for me.

Wanna know another? When you click an ability if a character is under it for some reason the button doesnt act as though its overlaying them even if it is. If you dont catch this you can waste actions with severe consequences. So dumb.

It does warn you if your going to path through fire. Also acid and poison. In much the same way that it informs you if your going to break concealment. There will be an icon in the desination square.

Yea that isnt enough, I move my cursor to a square and then click it. It caused my ranger to run though it, he took 3 damage the 2nd turn. That panicked 2 guys as a reinforcement dropped(2 turn panick) and thats all she wrote. How would I know to look for something i have never seen before. Bad design. Horrible design. If you are gonna automatically path me through things which kill me there should be a pop up or something. Such utter BS. Game ruined.

Thats 2nd campaign ruined. 1st one I started on the free play. Bought the entire game package, and when I started back up some lizard was there who pull a scorpian on a guy and pulled him in and wrapped him up. I said "oh good I have a use for these dumb attack bots" since its 100% chance to hit and break it. Did that, oh surprise lizard man takes a turn after an attack. he wraps him up again killing him. So i say ok let me move this guy closer . . . .. . surprise another turn for lizard man, repeat wipe. Game ruined. Such cool DLC.

What would be better than the warning signs which pop up as soon as a path leads to hostile environment? Flashing screens and a warning sound?

I answered your question above. A pop-up. I had never had that or seen any symbol before. I dont hover my cursor looking for things I have never seen. I move my cursor and click as soon as it is where I wanna go, its one fluid action.

This is user error not game error. You are ignoring the information the game gives you. There is an icon dislayed before you click. It is not the games fault you ignore it.

Your have a hissy fit for something thats explained in the tutorial, covered in the manual, displayed in game and you chose to ignore it.

I hope you don't drive a car. Only because you don't know a sign doesn't mean you should ignore it.

You by chance talk about the Alien Ruler? Who is an endboss with a special game mechanic? Yeah, he is designed so that he provides a challange; it is no real surprise.

Its poor design, but thanks. At a bare minimum there should be an option to never path through hazardous tiles if someone isnt immune. Looking for symbols on a square that is no where near the hazard is bad design. Pathing through hazards by default is bad design. There should be a symbol displayed when the path you are going is made longer due to a hazard and a key to toggle an over ride to path through it see as there is no way to path around them without wasting points needlessly.

Or you could you know just use a waypoint to path round the firewithout wasting moves like eveyone else does,

1) LIke I said I click my mouse within a few frames of the square I get to. Now I wont because the poor design ruined a game, but before since I never saw a sign I wasnt looking.

2) End game boss? I had basic armor and weapons. The first time he made a portal and just disapeared. IDK. It was wack though.

You are condescending , and quite toxic. I am bringing up a legitimate issue as a new player and all you have done is bully. Please stop.

I just checked. There IS a sound when your path leads through fire. The same as when your units would jump trough a window when in stealth mode.
On the other side, if it is crucial for the mission, your soldiers HAVE to go through such things- It would be utterly bad if the system would have a setting which let you never go through something like fire.
And the path leads alwas around hostile ground, as long as the range allows it. If you go the maximum way a soldier can move, it will lead through anything in order to get there.

Yea I guess, Lesson learned. I cant play ironman now because "oh no I click move to fast" and that really pisses me off. I dont mind losing to incorrect decisions I make but being punished because I am confident in my moves and click fast is really annoying and dumb. I should be able to enable an option to have a popup warning. All you awesome slow playing catious people can play without it, I would like more then a 50x50 pixel sign that pops up on the spot I am moving too.

Then trust your ears. The sound immediatly rings as soon as the path leads through fire or anything else harmfull. basicly as soon as your mouspointer moves.

And yes, the Alien Ruler are kind of endboss, no one else has the mechanic to move after every action you take.
