Tactical Legacy Pack possibly bugged an avatar.
So, I'm not entirely sure if this is new, old, restricted to the legacy missions, or all over, but I was hit by a rather odd bug a moment ago. In the final room of the final mission of the final arc, I managed to mess up and engage two pods at once. In hopes of breaking their cover and making them scatter a bit, I had my grenadier lob a grenade at one pod and a firebomb at the other. The firebomb managed to hit all three enemies, but failed to damage the avatar. It caught fire, burned for 1 damage, then turned a sort of "psi-energy purple" color. Model and health bar are still present, but it cannot be targeted or damaged with explosives. I assumed it was some sort of legacy gimmick that I'd missed, and that it had cast stasis on itself or something. It then proceeded to mind control a ranger, who promptly beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of my grenadier, knocking him out. I cleared the other mobs out, trying to avoid having my MC'ed ranger kill Central. Just when I was about to reload the mission, I was moving my reaper, who was in shadow, and noticed that he would not be detected when moving next to the avatar, but would be detected in the next room over. I dashed a soldier over to the detection zones, only to find the avatar there, causing his mirror image that had been kicking my team to death to disappear. I had my templar stun him, then let the team take turns kicking him, only to have him executed by the reaper who found him in the first place. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I just wanted to put this up, possibly raise awareness if need be, and just share an intersesting story.
Thanks for taking the time to read! (:

The only time I have ever seen a similar bug - baddie drawn at one location but game considers him to be at another location, is after loading a game - very rarely a baddie that is part of a pod but who was seperated from another pod mate, would be drawn as back together in a smaller group, but the game still thinks they're where they should be, leading to intersting I can flank you through 3 buildings and a tree across 3/4 of the map with my shotgun type fun. Usually loading the game again sorts it out.

I had one mission (last in 1st Arc) where the avatar stuck floating 600 feet in the air. Because he was so far up he could only shoot/be shot from 1 square, though he could MC anywhere. Most annoying he seemed to be able to MC at least 3 people at one with 2 attempts every turn.

This is a bug from WOTC thats also present in TLP.

The Avatar teleports as soon as they take damage(this is a feature).

If you use any skill that damages them more than once they teleport, warp back to there original position and then just go fubar.

They up in a weird state where there on screen graphic doesnt represnt there position in the world at all. As you have spotted you then have to randomly check all the sqaures to work out where you can shoot them from.
Once you damage them again (they warp) and now are fixed again. There new actual poition and graphic on screen will match.

yep, had a bugged out avatar in the last mission of tlp, took a fan fire at him, got bugged somewhere on top of another trooper, was targetable but not flankable in any way, luckily one of the guys had a stock so that got handled quite easily

I used fan fire last night and nothing weird happened. So it's clearly not a universal "damaged more than once" glitch.

Did anyone also get the bug where they could not save progress. I have contacted support but all they have said is that "This problem and should not be happening" (Or something to that effect) and refuse to fix my problem. They have accused me of lying and I cannot play XCOM 2 even though I payed for the game.

This is usually caused by filesystem permissions or by antivirus/security software.
