Detecting the first Chosen
I had an amazing moment during the first mission you encoutner the Chosen. She showed up, did her little speech thing, then vanished. I moved my guys further along the brigde, and the first guy i moved found her. He moved up, and she was next to a car, apaprently he'd flanked her, and was in detection radius. I then wrecked her ♥♥♥♥ before she could stun one of my guys.

Has anyone else ever done this? I've played the mission like 10 times, and it's never happened before. So was this a glitch, or a thing that actually happens?

Yes, I have done similar. After a while, you get something of a feel for how she works. Then you get a battle scanner or scanning protocol. Poor assassin never stood a chance.

Yeah you just need to flank her to reveal her. Overwatch doesnt work so try figure Out where she is hiding and then move one soldier at the time to spot her . Its no point overwatching since she ignore it.

I'm pretty sure she doesn't always get Shadowstep. Just most of the time.

Yah chosen abilities are randomised. I hate it when she gets the skills that both boost her defence, and give her shielding, and then she goes and gets immunity to explosions.

I was just absolutely amazed. I always figured it was a scripted thing. She dissapears, then runs in and hits one of your guys to teach you the Chosen stuny thingy. But then Raul goes and finds her in his first move along the bridge.

I think it was just that every other time i'd played she hid in one of the buildings, so i never got into a position to flank her.

And this is why the Reaper can be really helpful against the Assassin in particular. You can run across the map with them without any risk (also they're quite fast in concealment) in order to try to expose as many potential hiding places as possible.

If all else fails, I sometimes fire a grenade launcher at a suspicious car. Occasionally that gives the chosen a surprise :P But a battlescanner or scanning protocol works wonders.

You can also find them with high-mobility units because you can't move into the tile they're in. If they're in the movement range of the unit selected, then if you look carefully, you can find her by looking for the tile that you can't move into. Just like Seekers in EW (though those were much easier, since they were usually next to your sniper...). And then blow her up.

She had weakness to explosives and Reapers when I met her. And when she was revealed, she hid on a truck... That was a hilariously short fight.

just park a Templar in parry stance at the front, she will normaly bite herself locked on him till she dies, because she hit, templar proc parry, templar hit, templar use parry, she hit, templar proc.... you get the idea, works every time. just make sure templar has mindshield and he tank and kill every choosen solo that hasnt got melee immunity.

It always happens for me. Since the camera follows the Chosen's movement, regardless of whether or not they're visible. You can just blast the general area you think they're in with grenades until Assassin's stealth breaks.
