WOTC Grenade Visibility Glitch
I've noticed in a number of missions that either launching or throwing grenades removes visibility of targetable enemies. In my last mission I used my grenadier to launch a grenade in order to destroy the cover of an enemy soldier so as to give the rest of my squad (my sharpshooter in particular) a better shot at him. What happened following the launch was that now none of my soldiers can see him, even though they have line of sight to him, and there's no fog of war issue.

This is a really deadly glitch, as I'm playing a Legendary Ironman campaign. It was crucial that one of my soldiers take out the enemy in question but now they can't even see him.

These are the mods I'm using:

1. [WOTC] Military Camouflage Patterns
2.WOTC Even More Backstories
3. Gravely Wounded Scars (WOTC version)
4. Extract Corpses WOTC
5. [WOTC] End of Mission Quotes Fix
6. Evac All - WOTC
7. Overwatch All/Others

NOTE: 8-11 aren't WOTC, b/c I couldn't find WOTC versions and they seem to work well:

8. Gender Bias
9. More Nations Mod
10. More Random Backstories
11. Nicknames Extended

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm sorrty for posting the above if this has already been discussed here, and if anyone can point me to those threads I'd appreciate it.

Saving and loading will usually fix this. Also note that sometimes it's not a bug. If you could only see them because they were peeking around the corner of the cover they were behind, destroying that cover will mean that you can't see them any more because you can't see the exact tile they're standing on.

There is also the possibility that you are not understanding how LoS works. An enemy in cover is assumed to also occupy the squares next to him, as he is 'peeking out around the cover' so when you blow up his cover, he no longer occupies those areas. If you could see him because of this 'peeking' effect, then taking it away, naturally, removes your LoS. Dont worry, a lot of people just do not understand this effect, and hence you get posts like this one, or posts complaining about being shot through walls, or what ever.

I'm willing to concede that the above could be a result of a misunderstanding on my part, however, I haven't adopted this tactic out of nowhere. I employ this means of exposing enemies behind cover precisely because I have used it to my advantage in the past. I've logged over a thousand hours in the game, and I've completed all difficulties except Legendary. I posted this thread because I've never encountered this issue before this campaign.

This is one of the more annoying bugs. I don't use any mods and I've had it happen both with grenades and the grenadier "demolition" ability. You can move a unit right next to the enemy in question and it won't fix it.
All you can do is exit and reload. I don't know why this has still not been fixed!

Just because you as the player can see the enemy, doesn't necessarily mean that your soldiers can. For the cover one I would say what happened is exactly what the other poster said about full cover and peeking. It has happened to me before as well.
