What exactly is unlocked I do not know.
Unlocks in any single player campaign. Ongoing or new. Dont have to start a new one.
The first series of missions unlocks some gun skins or models.
The second unlocks the old pilot, fighter helmets etc, which are quite nice.
The 3rd finally frees up the attitude stances which is what I was really after.
These all work in the main campaign.
I wish the game just gave that stuff rather than forcing me to play Bradford`s drunk story. Took me two days off work to do it. Now I have to work over the weekend!
Unique content that should have stayed as side activities instead of having new customization options locked behind it.
Correction: There are four sets of missions.
The first (Blast from the past) unlocks guns. They are not just models, the guns comes with built in attachments and are a real boost early game, you only get one of each type, you can lose them if a soldier that carry them dies, they are upgradeable.
The second (It came from the sea) unlocks armors. The new amors are basicly skins. they are for classes only, not untrained rookies. They work as a replacement for the standard medium armor in the loadout screen (not as new customisation), you have a unlimited amount of them).
The third (Avenger assemble) unlocks the helmets (simply new helmet options for soldiers).
The fourth (The lazarus project) unlocks the new stances.
I stand corrected.
so the first mission and last mission are the only ones to really effect the gameplay? the others are pure cosmetic.
The stances are also cosmetic. The only difference to gameplay is the guns from the first set of missions. Do note that while the guns are a boost early game most* of them are replaced mid/late game since you can give your own weapons more appropriate weapon modifactions rather then the inbuilt ones in the special weapons (You can't swap them out).
*The new sword is still usefull since you can't mod swords yourself. But im not sure if i will use it considering the other options (The axes from alien rules and the chosen swords).
No, it WOTC only and no port of the maps is possible. Also most modders hate the old tool as it has less features and takes up a lot of harddrive space.
