Advent doesn't notice you running past 3 feet away from them, but attach a bomb to their device while they aren't nearby at all? Suddenly they know where you are.
Hack a robot and disable it? Doesn't break concealment. Hack a robot and take control of it? Magic, they know where you are!
The codex, amongst other aliens, shows off some of the "uhh what?" inconsistencies. Codex takes damage from EMP grenades and bluescreen rounds, but doesn't take extra damage from combat protocol or static discharge? So.... is it robotic or not? Gatekeeper has similar oddities.
Hilariously, I discovered Shen has a voiceline that points out how ill equipped the squad is in that campaign. Took a hit, and she calls out "Rover, better get that medikit ready...". Yes, Shen, I would LOVE it if you actually carried a medikit!
So don't worry, you aren't the only one that Lazarus Project is making feel salty. I did notice that the evac point on the 3rd mission is surprisingly close to the bomb spot, so you might try stealthing over there, planting the bomb and just running for it?
I did get the cluster pods. And feel super lucky to clear the stage by killing everything.
I think you should snipe the first pod at the 1st turn to avoid the super pod forming.
Dont blow up the car.
Btw idk why but one of those berserker hitting their own MeC during my playthru.
Also, killing the priest while he channel divine warrior will kill the object.
Selecting Ammo upgrade at the previous mission also help to one hit kill the codex (talon rounds at critical), and regular ADVENT soldier.
Story difficulty tho.
Your reaper seriously needs to have remote start in this mission but you don't get that. Just a weak claymore. I used that and it just caused the survivors to pull back and cluster with the rest of the enemies. And no healer in the last two stories which sucks.
I did beat this mission in one go. Reaper died, templar went unconcious and couldn't revive him since no healer. Had some luck though, I tried to get some to come to me. Picked the fight from a distance. Hacked the mech so they wasted some attacks firing on it and killed it themselves.
I did have some luck there, expected Kelly to die but several shots missed.
my way: takes forever, but you can clear the map without some luck
swing around the left side and go to the other end of map, at the back of cannon/bus
from there, pull one pod at a time carefully, hope to get lucky with the berserkers, i didn't, bradford ko'd, and templar wounded, didn't bother to pull the last one
p.s this squad sucks big time
But even just with a Shrapnel Claymore, it'd be sooo much easier. Throw a Claymore into the super pod, then huck a nade on top of it while they're next to a car. 3-4 Damage on most of them from the nade, 6 or so to everyone from the Claymore, and 6 or so to those next to the car. That'd kill the Mech, and the Soldiers, potentially kill the Codex, and mess up the Berserkers, which could then be finished off with Shotguns from point-blank.
But without Shrapnel, there's just not enough AOE damage to deal with the Advanced Soldiers.
But, now that i know where the exit is. I'm just going to sneak around, sit in the exit point. Then place the X4 and run, i don't care about score.
I won't bother to get gold though, it's pointless. I already have all the unlocks.
It's hillarious by the way that Dr Tygan's nickname is Hamburglar.
(Spoilers if you've not finished it)
Why did ADVENT have a Bradford sweater in a Tank? Is it just a joke, or is there something i'm missing.
Do this count as double spoiler? Well if the first question answer is yes.
These missions are "war stories", there is a certain amount of "embellishment" to be expected.
The squad you get is pretty weak, you can make ambushes with the claymore combined with a grenade from the templar for 8 damage each and you can also use sword ambushes with bradford who has bladestorm. Both of those work even on the very first mission. For the first few missions to deal with turrets have the templar rend them and move out of range of them.
I have no idea how you might be able to do it properly.
