Can't Buy Shen's Last Gift DLC
So I had a real hankering to play some XCOM 2 after a couple of years, decided to reinstall and wanted to add the Shen's Last Gift DLC.

Well, the Store page won't let me buy the DLC on its own! All it will show me is the choice to buy the "Bundle," most of which I already own. No matter how I search, or where I click, I can't seem to find the option to buy the DLC by itself. This only seems to be a problem with the Shen's Last Gift DLC. The other DLCs are available to purchase solo.

Does anyone have link to buy the Shen's DLC direct?

I would also like to buy Shen's Last Gift without the bundle.

No longer possible. The bundle is the only way to get the DLCs as of some years back when they stopped spelling them as individual options.

As to buying the bundle when you already own the rest of it OP. While steam is no saint of a store they aren't so bad as to charge you for things you already own :steamfacepalm:. If you try to buy the bundle you will, clearly, see it will deduct the cost of the parts of it you already have from your total.
Why do people keep thinking this isn't the case....?

If you don't want any parts of them in your game you can either set it so they can be ignored when in the game (make it so they turn up in the game as their own missions and then ignore those missions) or just tell steam to not load them up as part of the game in the first place.

First off, some of the other DLCs seem to be available to buy solo, so I'm not sure why Shen's shouldn't be. Secondly, even with the bundle subtracting what I already own, it's still like 36$. I assume buying Shen alone would be under 10$? I'm not going to pay 36$ for a bundle of eight things when I only want one.

Actually the Bundle is 37.56$, and under the bundle info screen, Shen's Last Gift has a solo price listed of 9.99$. So obviously it HAS a price to buy individually, and a bunch of the other DLCs are available to buy individually, so what's going on here?

Why some are still available on their own but these ones aren't, I have no idea. You would need to ask someone at fraxis that was involved with that choice.

As to the parts of the bundle you already own, I already went over that. Other than that you're best bet if you want to pay less is to just wait for a sale. Steam does have a way to email you when an item you want is on sale so you are less likely to miss it.

The price shown is in this case simply how much of the total cost is related to each individual item. Steam as a store is required to let you know these things so you are aware of what and how you are purchasing anything though them.

All that's going on here is that you can no longer buy this item on its own and has been this way for a fair few years now. No more, no less.

thank you kind sir!
You are very welcome and if you do not mind a suggestion, pick up any pieces you are missing because it is only a matter of time everywhere will make you buy the entire bundle just to get a missing piece.

I did not test it and took their word for it making them buy the entire package which is why I gave another source.
