XCOM 2 WOTC Unable to do anything on the World Map

I had a crap-ton of mods and I decided to make a new game. I noticed when I did the first mission and wanted to expand to new regions, but was totally unable to.

I decided to delete everything in the config file and try again, nothing. I removed the mods I added and tried again. Nothing. I tried verifying my game, nothing. reinstalling, nothing. I deleted my entire XCOM 2 WOTC folder and uninstalling before reinstalling.

I'm completely out of ideas.

Can anyone assist?

as it shows here in this image - I can't do anything. Literally nothing. No mods whatsoever are running.

If I continue the save - an area opens up but I can't get to it.

I do not know if this will work for XCOM 2, but it should.

Do not uninstall the game. Delete the game folder manually, go into Documents, my Games, and delete the XCOM folders there as well, empty your recycle bin, restart the computer, now go to Steam and verify your files. Once done, launch the game from Steam through the 2K launcher, set your settings, start a game (just need to load it), close the game, now launch using either through Steam and 2K launcher or the alternative launcher from github (whichever you normally use).

NOTE: This is overkill procedure, but will clear absolutely everything starting completely over so if it is something wrong with a file or the game it will correct it.

Nope - Im at my wits end. Everything is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the global stage. Played through 2 hours of XCOM 2 (non WOTC) to find out the maps also ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Have you tried researching resistance comms? It's required to contact new regions, which appears to be half of your issue. Both screenshots show no active research.

I'll give it a go - I swear if that's the reason - I'm going to be frustrated to all hell; cause I swear you could see the other regions before researching resistance comms, and even go to them and start to establish contacts. and resistance comms would just be an upgrade which allows you to build radio relays in said regions.

There are two communications researches; Resistance Communications and Resistance Radio.

Resistance Communications unlocks contacting new regions. Resistance Radio unlocks building relays.

Well. I feel retarded now. Then again, i've reinstalled my game so many times, removing folders etc. I've now botched my audio. *sigh*

I apologize and wish you well. I dont have the time to sit and hold your hand through this to figure out what you are doing and help you correct it. If I may suggest, contact 2K telling them everything you have tried in detail and get their response.
