XCOM Alternative Mod Launcher works fine

I have 260 mods running fine on an old Asus I-5, 12gb ram, 740 geforce, 1tb ssd laptop.

I just double checked its working fine. My I-5 runs cooler than my Asus I-7 16gb
ram, 940 geforce, 756gb ssd lol.

Unfortunately AML is not working for me. It's the first time I've used it so I'm not sure if I've done something wrong. It seems to be pointing in the right spot, and it automatically loaded my old mods, but when I click on either the "Run War of the Chosen" or "Run XCOM 2" buttons it will show a steam dialogue "Preparing to launch XCOM 2..." then nothing happens. The AML log doesn't seem to be indicating any particular errors or issues. From the last few minutes:

Thank you! I enjoy WOTC but now that I've got 40k mods, it just wasnt the same without them.

for me the AML launches the launcher, I choose war of the chosen and click play, the launcher then launches another launcher ad infinitum ... and the game never starts?!

Thanks for the thread and the link, I got it today and feel like I should have switched sooner, it looks much better than the old one (plus I can play the game again).

It never worked for me, even after following all the guides on how to install and fix it.

Just ran WOTC with the old launcher and it still works just fine. If the AML is not for you, try this:

For me AML works just fine after the update.
XCOM2 is installed on F: drive, and in the same folder i also have AML installed.
Here is a screen from the LWOTC Github wiki on how the settings tab should look like after you install AML.

In the screenshot the second path from the mod directories is for mods that are not from the workshop.
After you setup AML select the mods that you want to use, activate them and launch what game you want (XCOM 2 or WOTC) from the launcher.

So I finally got AML to work by running it as administrator. Thanks for the help everyone now I can go back to stomping the chosen into the ground.

I just downloaded the latest version and it ran fine. I had to manually click on every mod though... I panicked when it reported some missing dependencies, but later remembered it is normal for some mods related to Mushashi's RPG. This is another nice thing too, the app can detect dependencies and stuff like that.

I got the AML working by running it as Administrator. Trying that might also help
