xcom 2 mods, cant find 268500 file in workshop content.

I'm watching this video and it says to add to your mod directories the workshop content location for xcom. I can't find the file and he says that the xcom 2 file is always 268500. I haven't downloaded any of my mods from the steam workshop, only from nexus.

The file path for steam games should be located here on your hard drive:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500

Non steam mods need a different folder here on your hard drive (you may have to make a new folder and call is Mods once in the XComGame folder):

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Mods

I already have the xcom mods folder which is where my mods are located and I know where the 268500 file should be. The video says that it is very essential but it is simply just not there. So does it just mean i don't actually need to add it then ?

If you haven't downloaded any mods off of steam, then it is not essential. Steam should create the file when you download a mod. The reason the video said it was essential is probably because the main bulk of the well developed and maintains mods are only on steam. So if you only are using the Nexus ones, then it is not needed.
