Customization Gone

Not a game breaking issue, but it seems that most customization options for soldiers are gone. Vanila, WotC, Legacy and others but the Anarchy.
All DLCs
No mods.
Files integrity passed.
Reinstalled.
Files integrity passed again.

Seen some threads about this problem but in most cases people who experience them are called dumb and blamed for all the bad things in the world, which is not helpful.

What do you mean by "customization options are gone"? Do you mean customized soldiers aren't saving to your character pool? Do you mean that the options simply aren't showing up on the customization screen? If the latter, keep in mind that some customization options are locked to class and rank and won't appear for basic rookies.

If the former, the only threads I've found are from 2016, and I haven't seen any responses to those threads be rude or hostile. The solution to the "characters-not-saving-to-the-character-pool" issue can be found here:

I can fully customize soldiers in Character Pool available in the main menu. I was able to fully customize all soldiers. But as of few days ago only options are those numbered "0". Single chest piece, single legs, single hat. Plus all Anarchy themed options. The elements I put on my soldiers at the beggining are still on them, except for forearm pieces which seem to be only thing not affected by the bug, as I still can choose from a variety of elements. But I can no longer make my soldiers look like, eg soldiers or cowboys. Only very default XCom pieces, single one for every part of body, or Anarchy.
I affects all soldiers, be that rookies or majors or whatever.
I'm more or less sure the bug appeared just after I finished Blast From the Past legacy missions, and switched to continue WotC.

As for saving to character pool, no issue there. They show up fully customized, but again, I'm unable to customize them again except for single vanila style and Anarchy.

Wierd, and annoying. Not gamebreaking.

For me is this ♥♥♥♥ gamebreaking, i only play because i can do my own squad and my own ♥♥♥♥. I Customize like every charakter and biographie. So the game has more life. any idea how to fix it?

You also have this problem? I had pretty large rooster of customized soldier before the bug struck, and they are fine (can't customize them much, but they are already customized to my liking) so I'm kind of easy on the "game breaking" part, but I can relate.
I'm going to try disable DLCs one after another and try to find which, if any, cause the problem, and if that's the case, if the load order factors to it (if I can have control over DLC load order).

Hello Mate, i restart mods and load main custominization, then i go back to my saved game and it worked normal again. maybe give it a try

I got this and never use mods. 1 in about 300 games. Rare bug I guess.

So, I have my mods disabled as I too am having this issue. I cannot change colors or hair and the only thing that can be changed are the armor sets for Vanilla and Anarchy.

Okay, but, has anyone found what caused this? Dealing with it now and is super annoying trying to figure out what mod or base game bug is causing this. Literally no UI is showing when opening the character customization menu lists.

Just encountered this bug, no customization Ui is showing when trying to customize a character in the character pool, I'm hoping SOMEONE can find out what's causing this.
