Still was not as hard as my first encounter with the archon king prior to WoTC. I had a VIP slung over my shoulder and evac was next to a gas station. Devastation seemed bad by itself...
I just recently found the Hunter but haven't encountered in battle yet. The assassin on the other hand has shown up 4 times and beat the hell out of me each time.
So ya if you play lost and abandoned you get a shadowstep assassin.
But that first encounter is easy if know how to fight her. I dont wanne spoil anything though. But if you want I can give you a way how to kill her without cheating. Doesnt work all the time exactly as intended but even if it fails, you still get out with only one injured soldier.
Second encounter I get a lucky reveal when moving to pickup some loot. Double shot from elevated position with my Skirmisher and a shotgun blast point blank and she died.
Third encounter she attacks first. Dazes one ranger, summons Advent, luckily I had most of my squad on overwatch and killed two of the three. Moved to undaze my Ranger who got up disoriented. I figured I might as well go down swinging so I had them both attack even with a super low hit chance from my ranger. Luckily RNGesus was watching out for me and I got a 12 damage critical off a 32% hit chance. Another 7 from my Reaper left it with 2 health and I started feeling pretty confident that I was gonna pull out of this. Attacked with my specialist and RNGesus decided to even out my karma and made me miss a 94% shot. My second ranger couldn't get a shot in the chosen so I had him clear that third soldier. 6 health and silly me didn't realize my sword could do as little as 5 damage. Needless to say he lived with one HP. Then the turn that really hurt. Assassin uses it's super ♥♥♥♥ you wave to daze my ranger and Reaper, then goes invisible again. The Advent trooper point blanks my second ranger and kills him. I move my specialist to undaze my ranger, who is still disoriented (or maybe it's again?) And takes a shot to kill the advent. Move my ranger to undaze the Reaper and move him a little away from the others. Assassin comes back and puts my specialist bleeding out before running to hide behind a train. Luckily for me I'm about to get my Reaper in position to make that final shot, killing there last enemy and rescind my specialist.
The fourth encounter?... Well no one made it back to tell that story so we don't like to talk about it.
