Bonding Question - Change Bond Mate?

Hey guys! As the title suggests, is there a way to change who your bond mate is? Does the soldier need to die? Or can you resign them and will you be able to bond that person with someone else? Since I've made a mistake 'as I bet some others have' in making one of my guys Bond with the wrong person. Is there a way around this? Cheers!

P.S. If I do dismiss the person, I know I'll lose them, but the person who lost their Bond mate can they bond with someone else? If so, how? Cheers again!

Yes, if they somehow lose their bond mate they can start working on another one. I don't know if the dismissing will work the same as death or if it will introduce a bug of some sort though.
