yeah I know I don't know how the hell to fix this either
I don't even want to play vanilla XCOM firaxis fix this b*******
I think there is problem with native mod launcher.
You need to DL alternative mod manager for now. It make my mods work again.
I've been using alternative mod launcher but it doesn't fix my problem. Am i doing something wrong?
You need to find the steam workshop mods in your steam folder, it look something like this:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500
Note that 268500 is steam ID for xcom2.
you then see folders with all your subscribed items. they have no names they are just ID numbers.
you need to COPY these folders into your Mods folder in
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Mods
If you have no folder under XComGame you must make one.
Its problem with steam and launcher locating mods. Dumb developers!!!
if u have mods from nexus or wherever (not on steam) you just past them/extract them to the Mods folder
Everytime i try the mod folder it seems to mess everything up by making two versions of all the mods every time
You are using alternative mod launcher ?? You do what I put in previous message then you should see mod options appearing in AML... We are at this step yet?
Where do i get the alternative mod launcher?
I try that but I don't know how to open the launcher. I can't find an .exe file.
yes, the game will take longer to launch, and can even register as '(Not Responding)'
BE PATIENT
let it load.
If you people would actually read the forums, there are TONS of responses on how to fix it using the ModLauncher file. We are almost all sick of responding to the same question over and over, when we've already responded to it 200times
You dont even need to alternative mod launcher to make the mods work, EVEN FOR WOTC
