New Launcher: How to Load your mods

On the new Launcher, there is a drop down option for you to select between XCOM 2 and War of the Chosen.

First select War of The Chosen.

Then go to Mods and see the list is empty. Hit the refresh button and ALL your mods will appear, then enable all mods.

It all works perfectly in game afterwards, no need to do ini fixes or anything.

Yeah, my pool is gone, but the mod still seems to be there. I'll just save the characters back to the pool.

Until the Dev´s can patch this ♥♥♥♥ Update you can Launch the game manually with the ModLauncherWPF
(Standard found in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\Launcher)

Guys just download the alternative launcher works great even tells you what mods are in conflict with one another to optimise your games fps and stop crashes

Does anyone know how to _manually_ add mods not available from the Steam Workshop with this new launcher?

You need to add them to the mods folder for the game:
[drive]:\STEAM GAMES\Steam\SteamApps\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Mods

Search for the LW2 WOTC beta mod and it will till you how to add that mod and the same for any others.

Once they have been added you can use the new launcher by following these instructions: The launcher will then find the workshop mods and any other mods in the mod folder.

I too also have a problem with the new launcher. At first the new update seems pretty cool but after a while the game stopped loading when I launched it. So I tried reinstalling it ;after I did the game launched perfectly but now my mods did not load. So I tried reinstalling the mods to no avail and from their things just stop working as it use to before.

This thread is nearly 4 years old so "new" is relative. It's probably the default 2K one. Which I'd recommend to no-one.
