Scientists... diminishing returns. And building a lab when you are likely pressed for power and room is rather bad investment. Did black market pop up yet? You can pick up deals to cut certain research in half. Also can get lucky on a hack in a mission and cut current research tine in half.

As for anything else, just sell whatever you don't plan to use.
Yeah, havent ever used it once ever since I started playing I think. I just cant bring myself to spend intel my boys and girls sweat and bled and faught for on cutting research time. Never once in any run did I ever build a lab, and ive never even bought a scientist. I did by engineers but very rarely.
Never said I didnt use scientists. I said I didnt buy them via black merket, spending intel on them.
You get them as mission rewards.
You free vips which are scientists often times.
That is the only strat I ever used to get scientists and there was never a problem with not having enough to do the research. What is important is to know what to research and when. If you delay important stuff then that can snowball.
Also workshops are horrifyingly bad wastes of money and space.
Intel for research speed up... normally no, but occasionally it makes sense. But just saying, if you are rolling flawless missions, you are not in a dire need of upgrades.
