Now, one weird thing I have seen is that I have killed a couple of spectres with overwatch shots that should have missed due to Lightning Reflexes. And yep, it was the first (and only) overwatch shot taken on it.
If you have a Stock on your weapon, its damage still counts with Lightning Reflexes.
Also, if the Spectre can't reach one of your soldier in order to shadowbind then he'll most likely vanish. You can see it happening a lot if you have the Tactical Analysis perk, which gives the enemy pod only one action point instead of two if you revealed them on your turn.
