Is there a reason not to accept a L1 Bond?
Some basic Bonding questions... Once two soldiers are Bonded is that it for ever? Can you potentially bond with another? What if one of the pair dies? If you do not accpt the L1 bonds and go on missions with other Soldiers will you get the chance to for bonds with them?

As far as I can tell once bonded, that's it. Only way to break the bond is one dieing. In my last game I wanted to re-bond a couple of soldiers, but didn't seem to be any way to do it.

You can always decline the bond, then later, in their info screen, go to their bond list and pick who ever you want to bond with, as long as they;ve enough compatibility.

Yes, very true. Gotta pick the combos you want and work towards that.

If you do not create a L1 bond to they continue to build compatibility and grow towards the potential of a L2 bond? Or does a given bond potential stop growing unless Bonded? i.e. if you waited a while would you be able to "instantly" create L2+ Bonds between unbonded soldiers?

It won't grow past the limit. That includes a pair that already have an L1 bond. They can't grow towards L3 until you rank them up to L2.

Yes, you should think about your squad composition. Say you've got two supports who want to bond, then it's a waste unless you want to bring two supports with you on a mission.

I might avoid pairing a Ranger and a Sharpshooter as silver and above bonded pairs start getting bonuses when next to each other, and Rangers are usually at the frontline and Sharpshooter at the back. (for instance at the second bond level you can free a bond mate from mind control by simply moving their bond mate right next to them, just maake sure they don't have bladestorm)

I like using Rangers and Grenadiers, So I typically try to pair them off with one another. When readying for a mission I'll typically grab one or two of my Grenadier/Ranger pairs and depending upon what mission type a Sharpshooter/Support combo, or my Templar/Ranger, or my Skirmisher/Whatever.

just takes bonds that are to you likings classwise, just like already told above.
for me its templar/ranger/skirmisher with a support, sniper with a reaper or grenadier. thats where i can get most use of the shared actions. and it wont hinder the team compostion, because i ever take one of each class into combat if possible.

yeah if you just bond people because they had a lot of missions together, that doesn't work well for some of the features--like if you have melee and range (like ranger/hunter sharphooter) then they often are not sitting next to each other to gain some of those perks.

But a templar and other melee combo bond would work... or even a reaper, since often they are out scouting and not hanging back with your sharpshooters. At least not all the time.

yet a grenadier and specialist might always be near each other depending on your play style. or likewise if you increase the aim on the grenadier and focus on shots more than grenades, it might be better to bond with a sharpshooter if they're going to find cover near each other for across the map carnage.
