XCOM 2 Best Game Ever?

This is easily one of my favorite games of all time, tied with The Last of Us and Life is Strange(Original one)

The 3 different soundtracks, the combat, the decent story, the strategy, replayabillity, the chaos, awesome weapons, and the CUSTIMIZATION.

It´s also one of my favorite games of all time, if not my no. 1. It´s simply brilliant and has both a real challenge and great replayability.

Im actually nervous that if they make a third xcom it wont be as good as xcom 2. But then again that's how i felt about xcom 2 before it came out because i loved xcom 1 so much

You like short shorts... What story? There's no story in xcom2 we just do stuff and in the end we never accomplished anything. The alien threat is not defeated, the advent is still around and with the wotc expansion you added problem with human eating Reapers, Rogue Advent and Sirius Templars. Not to mention the horrifying continue of the last scene in the game where resistance is holding advent rifles, cause advent used deadman's switch and auto destruction on their weapons. All of their hands are going to be blown off. Tygan wrote in his journal he been teaching the resistance to not pick up advent rifles.

That's Lt. Jim Dangle from the television show RENO 911. he always wears short shorts.

But the real story of xcom is the one you make for yourself. I name ALL of my soldiers after people i like from other video games, tv shows, or movies. And sometimes you lose people you really admire which hurts but makes xcom feel more real and personal.

It is very good. An exceptional game.

I would definintely give it a 9 out of 10.

It would a 10 out of 10 if the very late game would be more balanced and would still provide as much of a challenge as the very long stretches of fantastic and balanced gampelay from early game to early late game.

But thats criticism on a high level. You will prolly play hundred or couple hundred hours till you reach the end of legendary ironman. Before that you will have a ton of very entertaining and even emotional gameplay. Very immersive and rewarding and unique.

If they make the late game of xcom 3 just a bit more balanced, then I would give such a game a real 10 out of 10. Xcom 2 wotc is still fantastic though. We dont get these awesome games that often anymore these days.

I hope we dont have to wait that long for a sequel. Personally I cant wait for a sequel. Hope it doesnt take longer than maybe 2021. Till then xcom 2 wotc will be enough. It has very good replayability with mods and such.

I like the game and I like its replayability/versatility with squad comps and abilities.

That said, there are a few things I'd tweak, sightlines being the first and foremost, a few annoying bugs and such. But otherwise, it's certainly an 8-9/10 game.
