Is My2k necessary to experience all the game features (single + multi)
I am just curious what the benefits of using my2k are.

i dont even know what it is, it has nothing to do with this game as far as i know
maybe its in multiplayer, i havent tried mp yet

I'm pretty sure it's only used for multiplayer and uploading your challenge mode scores to the leaderboard.

It's used for challenges. Not sure it's used for MP or cloud saves or anything, those seem to use Steam (unlike Civ6, which still uses Steam for MP but uses My2K for cloud saves).

I dont remember creating one but my challenge scores do work. Sometimes they dont, but its because of the Steam network I think.
