It's just part of the game. Al most 800hrs in and I still make that mistake periodically.
If you don't want them to run through the fire, you're either going to need to pick something closer so that they can reach it while avoiding the fire, or use waypoints to make them go around the fire and use both action points to reach their destination.
Holy cow. I've finished the game twice now and I didn't realise. I should have read the manual first.
There's something I've always wondered. When the soldiers are engulfed in fire - is it best to keep them still, or move them?
It seems as if they don't actually catch on fire until you move them *out* of the fire, which doesn't make sense, but I haven't had a chance to test it because I don't want to burn my soldiers to a crisp.
But then again that would mean you don't have Combat Protocol so that ain't right.
