Trying to understand "giveability" console command
Right so, I found a certain console command called "giveability".

I tried to use it but I haven't got a clue how this is supposed to be used... and well I wanna try to give my Templar unit the abilities she doesn't have, that she SHOULD have. If anyone knows what to do here and can help me out, please let me know.

My guess would be you need to use the names the abilities use in the .inis (specifically, DefaultClassData.ini)
So for Bladestorm it would probably be GiveAbility AbilityName[Bladestorm] (except the Templar's version of Bladestorm is TemplarBladestorm so you'd want that on a Templar)

Hmm... I'll see if it works.
...Well, doesn't seem to work... just says the command is not recognised even though it's in the thing.

Not all commands works, I.E healsoldier. Giveability isn't a console command, it's a source code.
Ah okay.

GiveAbility works. You have to use it in the tactical layer, and it affects only the soldier you have selected.

Example: "GiveAbility Quickdraw".

You have to be engaged in combat in order to use the GiveAbility cheat. You just select the character, bring up the cheat console, and enter the corresponding ability you want to give the character. Keep in mind that this is only temporary and will go away once the combat ends.

you know, not to poke fun but i find this absolutely hilarious because you did the EXACT SAME THING i did when i discovered giveability command lmao. almost to the letter too. i can almost see your exact thought process when you were playing around with the commands and then saw that and went " ....oh wait i can do that?? i wonder...." ran immediately to your soldier, put the command in, saw it not recognized " damnit! alright lets try..." still not recognized. and im guessing you sat there for like the next ten minutes staring at the screen trying to figure out where you screwed up at. checking your spelling, the caps, the spacing and nothing working then finally giving up and coming here. atleast thats the impression i got just from that screenshot cuz that was my EXACT process when i found it lol.
