So far im loving it
im not trough all of this but i'd be great to get a pseudo explaination why we lost all the great tech and was never able to recover any of them and had to start research all over again so many times.
Everything stated is what I thought but the kicker for me was seeing the AVATAR! THREE OF THEM TO BE PRECISE ON EVERY LAST MISSION FOR EACH OP!!!!! WTF FIRAXIS?!?!?
Yea getting 3 Avatars really messes up the whole main campaign story. I just had that happened. I was hoping it would be a different new alien, but no.
This isn't a "what happened"-thing but rather a "Cental is telling the story, with bragging and made up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to look great". Imagine him and you, the commander, sitting in the bar, drunk and he wants to brag and thus makes stuff up to look good. His constant use of "That's how i remember it", "my memory is kinda fuzzy" and all that should be VERY obvious signs for that.
It's basically the exact same way of storytelling as Techland used in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, where the hero just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, makes stuff up, with the difference, that there's nobody in Xcom 2 who goes "Wait a minute, that's not how it happened" or "Are you sure that's true". I guess they left it to you, the player.
I mean what, why? They could have made the exo-dust-bin to accommodate those bits. I didn't make any sense, like most things in xcom since.
Cover your tracks Mrs Reaper, so she leaves dead bodies, unconsciousness scientist and blood all over the shop, sure they int going to notice.
Science also knows this:
https://www.healthline.com/health/wernicke-korsakoff-syndrome
"Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome (WKS) is a type of brain disorder caused by a lack of vitamin B-1, or thiamine. The syndrome is actually two separate conditions that can occur at the same time, Wernicke’s disease (WD) and Korsakoff syndrome. Usually, people get the symptoms of WD first. WD is also known as Wernicke’s encephalopathy.
Symptoms of WKS may include confusion, changes to the eyes and vision, or exaggerated storytelling, among others.
Alcoholism, or chronic alcohol misuse, is the most common cause of WKS. WKS can also be linked to diet deficiencies or other medical conditions that impair the absorption of vitamin B-1."
As I said in another thread, alcohol-induced dementia.
Bradford basically drank his brain into worms .
Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. A double whammy combo that specifically lists exaggerated story telling as a symptom or tendency.
