Civilian rescue
Is there a point to rescuing civilians instead of just rushing to kill the aliens? I know they leave the field making the aliens unable to kill them, but is there a better reward if I increase how many I save in-mission vs how many are saved after all the aliens are dead?

Same deal with the Tactical Legacy score. Are the total number of civilians totaled up at the end regardless, or do I get bonus points for taking the time to rescue them?

I'm almost certain that you get the point in TLP. In the campaign all civilians alive at the end of a retaliation after all aliens are killed will be saved with the same effect as saving them. Saving them prevents them from getting killed, and may trigger the disguised Faceless earlier (which can be a good thing or a bad thing)

In WOTC you get+3 money/supply drop income per civilian saved,so if you save more you get more money, still killing all aliens as fast as you can basically "saves" all civilians.
Early terror on legend I always focus on keeping my soldiers alive over saving civilians.Failing to save at least 6 civilians have penalty.I only save a few,if I have to.
