Ya its not that great if its the one Im thinking of, its better when used during an Ambush cause everything is in the open. Also clear line of sight.
I’m gonna try and get a screenshot
Yeah....but that makes sense if you think about it. A sniper can focus ona specific are and scope down anybody coming from that angle. But you want your sniper to look straight, down. Look at the floor but you also want him or her to cover a wide are to the side or in front.
Think about it. Thats impossible. It would take infinitely longer for a sniper or any shooter to cover multiple angles, having to wildly shift his or her gun. Its possible....but that takes time. Check out how pods run in slowmo. Its just split seconds where the sniper hits targets that are approaching from said vector. Naturally it is only possible to rapidly fire at targets that are more or less close to each other.
Youre asking for jedi like reflexes and skills to shift angles and fire vectors in split seconds. Thats not possible. It would be completly unrealistic fire multpile shots in completly different directions in split seconds. Maybe a Cyborg or a machine could do that.
Basically ou are asking for super human speed and precision in split seconds covering multiple angles.
Those are just human soldiers that you are playing. Enhanced soldiers with insane skills, but what you are asking for would be way too strong. A sniper could just kill any number coming from numerous diretions. That wouldnt be a kill 'zone' that would be a kill 'reality'. Breaking the game. Making it too easy. Such a sniper with max aim would just hit anything, coverin all angles, hitting any number of enemies from all directions.
Thats basically what you are asking for.
Kill zone focuses on a specific approach vector. If you focus on a vector that goes staight down then naturally you cant also cover the horizon. Thats a sniper preparing to rapidly fire. He or she is looking through the scope. How could they navigate to completly differnt angles while staring through the scope of kill zone. Thats imppssible in split seconds.
Its not broken. It makes perfect sense and would be more than op if killzone would work the way you want it wo work. Its already so powerful and its working just as intended.
For exmaple, I put my sniper up on a van. The van had even ground surrounding it, practially a flat land around the van for like 20-30 tiles. My sniper could killzone the left and behind of the van perfectly max kill zone distance. But when turning to the front or to the right, the killzone would simply not cover the max distance, it would point straight down, I dont want it to point straight down, I want it to cover tiles like normal and like I did to the left and behind. But for some reason, it would not, even though the left and right side of the van was completely flat for 20-30 tiles, one side would killzone and the other would not.
What you are saying doesnt make sense, since I can cover the tiles below me and on the horizon on some sides but others I can't, even though both sides should be able to. But that isnt the point, since my problem is that I can never cover the horizon in some directions with kill zone, it literally will only point down and cover about 3-4 tiles sometimes.
