VIP escort mission - Escort starts dead...wtf?

A Templar mission where I have to save a guy, and it says optional evac the escort, but even at start of mission the escort is alerdy dead next to the car. Bug or somethign else?

If this is the mission with the cannon on top of the car, then the soldier on the ground next to the VIP is unconcious. You need to carry them to evac to get them added to your roster at the end of the mission. If you have revival protocol you can revive them and use them during the mission also.

yeah all you need to do is revive the guy on the ground, and he becomes a soldier capable of shooting anything like you do. If he makes it out, you can use him as a regular soldier.

The VIP of course is bullet magnet made of wet cardboard, and is damaged by harsh language. hide that person as much as you can.
