Specialist are missing the gremlins

I am about 3/4 through the game and all of a sudden the gremlins have disappeared from my specialist. I can still distance heal but the hacking feature has gone away from my hot bar. Anyone know what has happened here?

First thought, as always, would be to verify the game files and see if anything borked.
