Generaly you build a power station on 1 of the powercore rooms and then put the shadow chamber on the other (so it uses no power).
How many of each other room do you have? its the first time I have heard of anyone running out of space. generaly I have an empty slot that never gets used.
The GTS has 2 jobs. Train new rookies. There is also a menu option for spending supplies to gain stats. Once for each class.
Same goes for workshop if you have plenty engineers.
I also wouldn't get rid of the proving ground, I don't know how far you are but Extra Ammo grenades and powered armor are not a bad thing.
For the Unshielded Power Coil thing there are two rooms better suited to that than a power relay. Psi Labs at full upgrade cost 10 power, 0 if on a coil. And the Shadow chamber cost 9, 0 if on a coil. So you can save 19 power building those two on coils. If you don't use a Psi Lab then comms or a Power relay are good.
I keep reloading a mid battle save, my haywire has a 70% chance to control one of those giant stilts mega mechs, but on 25 reloads now, i keep failing, its not a hard coded value, as it is diff everytime, but it seems, mabye its not hackable?
as when ever i get a fast moving slider, it stops EXACTLY on the target line bar, triggering a fail.

but i have lots of power cause of the engineers in it, and have gotten 2 +3 power events since I built theses. But it wont let me destroy one of them, cause without the engineers in them, i dont have 5 power left to kill the room it seems.

i dont get how a lab is bad? dont you need it to research?
my 1st try before the save, I was not even close to making the 70% need, LOL.
destroy your workshop.
take the enginneers out of your un upgraded power station.
destroy it.
you now have 2 free slots. The only thing you will ever need to put in them is possibly a reistance-comms or apsi-lab
It looks like possibly your resistance comms will have locked in your power requirements so you cant un assign from the power station meaning your cant un assign from the workshop.
You can remove an engi from the infirmary and re assign them. possibly.
or you may to upgrade that power station giving you extra power. this means you can un assign from the other power station which means you can now destroy the work shop.
IF you insist on building a workshop the only 2 viable slots are where your RR or infirmary are currently. 99.9% of people say its an overall negative room.
If you are at the stage where you are willing to destroy your proving ground then you dont need a lab.
I build one early game becuase I like lots of breakthroughs. Some people never build one at all.
