XCOM 2
Mod that makes "long war 2" shorter?
i like the long war changes, and the mods that are made for it, but the game is just too long for me to finish, right now ive been trying to find a mission to get resources for my science projects, but after like 20 of em i still havnt found the type that lets you keep the officer corpses and stuff like it,

Evac Corpses gives you the ability to carry off Advent and alien corpses and either use them in your research or sell them for supplies. This makes the "Long" into the "Moderate". It really helps and you still get all of the flavor of LW2 without feeling like anemic the whole time. There's also an added tactical component as to whether you have the time to grab that corpse and evac it before reinforcements arrive. The Fuller Harness is also worth getting because it allows evacuating the aliens that are too large to carry. There are likely other mods to increase supplies, too.

Metal over Flesh just makes your Sparks have more flavor, thus adding to their utility. There are a bunch of QoL mods, but I suspect you already have many of those.

So.....
Short war 2?

The mission type with FULL SALVAGE means you loot corpses, so Rendez-vous missions, advent raid train, ambush advent column.

There is a mod that shorten it I believe, go to the workshop and search Long war 2, you should find a mod that will shorten it normally.

rendez-vous mission trigger when one of your soldier is an haven advisor and you have faceless spies in your haven.

Advent supply raid are a bit hard to find unless you have a lot of people on intel.

Ambush advent column is when advent transfer 1 points of strength to another region, so if you made 40 mission and you have like 3/4 region I'll say it's normal, unless you have like 8 people on intel and the situation is right. So when a mission pop up read the little description and if you see FULL SALVAGE you get the corpses.

Unable to defeat the aliens is canon for xcom.
