Gremlin Mark III
A sectopode killed, a research project "sectopode breakdpwn" complete. I've got a message saying that a new item "Gremlin Mark III" is available now. But I don't see any of this in my engineering section - building items. No Marks III!!!!! What the hell????

Gremlin Mk II was also on weapons tab. And with skills like Combat protocol and Cap discharge, it sure qualifies as weapon.

Well, it's a floaty drone thingy which can deal damage and it's being controled by a soldier.
Pretty sure that makes it a weapon

No. That would be incorrect. It makes it a weapons platform. Not the same. Planes, tanks, ships, drones, Gremlins - all of them are platforms carrying weapons. But they are not weapons in their own right.

It is a secondary weapon in terms of how the game classifies items. Any other definition is irrelevant in this context.

yeah your pistols and swords and grenade launchers are in that tab, so its in that tab.

The drone is a weapons platform that happens to be placed in the weapons tab in this game. It's still a weapons platform.

Or, if we're really nitpicking, it's an imaginary pixel weapons platform.

It's all semantics. I could call a sword a weapons platform if i define the handle as a platform for the blade.

It is a weapon. Thats like saying a gun isnt a weapon just the platform for the bullets.
