Crashing on Avenger Defence.. (SPOILER ALERT WotC)
Hey all,

I've been having a great game so far- but now when the Chosen are attacking my Avenger, I always crash when I complete an objective- whetever it's the turrets, the big cannon.. Even random crashes, just on this mission. Any idea?

Fix: Right!

Upon looking after console commands, what I did was 'killallAIs' repeatedly until they were all dead, as some regen and make it hard- then I made sure to take the turrets and big cannon out all in one turn, to avoid crashing!

(I tried to use a console command recommended below to 'win' the game, but I just kept getting mission failed!)

Dude, tbh with this many mods it's anyone's guess.

ABA seems to have a terrible track record with special mission crashes though. I'd probably start with that.

Yeah, that's a lot of mods, so whatever is causing it is one or more of those mods for sure.
Can extra-monster mods be temporarily turned off on the avenger screen, do the mission, re-enable them?
By extra monster mods, I mean things that add enemies.

Not sure, but I do know disabling mods mid-campaign can sometimes cause problems.

In general, whether you can do this with a given mod depends on how invasive it is.

The short answer would be to check the mod's page on the workshop.
Alright, much appreciated- I got a few of them, so that's a bummer. I'll check the enemies I'm actually encountering in the mission first.
Unsubbed all Bio-mods, and I still got bio enemies.. :steamfacepalm:How is that even possible?

Is there any idea how to fix this issue, atleast? Even if I start a new game it'll still eventually get to defending the Avenger.

Well if you start a new game without the offending mod(s) from the start you probably won't have the problem, but as said it isn't always safe to remove a mod mid-campaign.
The thing is, there is no 100% which mod it is. I have ABA, Bio-troops (all 3) and Celatid's. All mods I very much would love to keep. :/ Very well known mods too that I'd find odd that they'd have such a big issue.

First of all, the mods you are using do specify they are a WotC version, right? Also, it could be one mod on its own won't have a problem, but a conflict between multiple mods does something bad, which seems possible with multiple mods that do the same kind of thing (like adding extra enemies).
Aye, everything is WotC. The issue isn't in that. It isn't encountering or killing said enemies either, it's whenever I complete an objective, then finish that round, that it screws up.

And true, I suppose.. Hrm. Hard to find out if there's multiple of them. I guess I could ask around on their pages too.
Alternatively, is there any 'code' to just skip an objective, so I can just finish the mission? I found out that I can back out of my squad select and go back to the world map, but am unable to click the mission again then, so guessing that'll break it for the future.

Backing out of the squad select on an Avenger Defense is not intended and will break the game. You could use a console command: endbattle xcomwins true
Use at your own risk though.
The alternative launcher refuses to read my WotC for some reason.

I may try that, Zyrra- thank you! Let's hope they don't disable achievements.. Don't wanna be punished for a broken mod. :(
