XCOM 2
BUG Advent mec takeover hacked effect lost same turn
I'm in a situation in a retaliation mission in which i hack a standard advent mec using haywire protocol and choose takeover then finish my turn. Then when it's the enemies' turns immediately afterward, none of them shoot at the mec in the middle of them and the mec loses the hacked effect and makes a move of his own all in the same turn that i just hacked him. I've been able to replicate these events after reloading the turn and doing the same things. Am i dumb or is the game?

I assume nothing happend to your specialist that hacked the mec? Because if he's dead, unconscious or in stasis then the control over mec will be lost. Desorientation and stun could also have the same effect, but I'm not sure.

Like an absolute idiot, i didn't make a permanent save of the turn but i seem to remember that he got meleed by a muton so i suppose he probably got stunned by it, and that must've been it.

He definitely didn't die, enter stasis or become unconscious.

Thanks BTW

just saw something that may be related. I set up for an ambush with the lead off being the hack attempt on a heavy/advanced mech, I decide on stun since this isn't my high hacking score specialist, I get the stun, then nothing happens until I shoot the other target and pod activates. The mech then gets its movement like I did nothing at all to it. Think I may have just used the faction order that makes advent lose a turn if discovered on X Com's turn. I'm getting a little annoyed at how this game seems to run fine one day and be buggy on the next (files fail to verify and need to be reacquired.) other oddness I've seen today is my psi units that had nothing left to train in, have been able to go through psi training again and the new one's I want to work up weren't showing up as trainable until after the already mostly maxed out ones were finished training again, and I checked while there were training slots available. duplicate soldier names, gear messed up and I found Mox sleeping through a mission, he was the only casualty of the mission (they thought he was dead) but showed up in the armory list.

Could be related, although i don't have WotC so it could also be two completely different things happening to us.
