Hellweave and Archons = death

Just found out the hard way how much Hellweave sucks when facing Archons. My Ranger was in front of my squad and was attacked with melee by an archon. When the archon hit, the hellweave delivered a couple of points damage back to the archon, which would be fine except that this allows the Archo to go into Battle Frenzy, and thus get an ADDITIONAL attack. The second attack hit, and the same thing happened, which led to a THIRD and FINAL attack which killed my elite Ranger, who was fully decked out, in full cover, with around 16 health.

Ouch man. Those aliens are ruthless. I finally decided the hellweave was not worth it and stuck with plated vest or stasis vest if I was using armor. 1-2 points of burn damage got useless toward end-game.
