Archon Autopsy not unlocking?

I'm playing with WOTC on, and I've got 4 Archon Corpses in my inventory. I don't have an option to actually conduct the research yet? Does anyone know if I have to progress the main story to a certain point before it becomes available, or did I happen to catch a bug?

Maybe a Bug. But look in your 'already Researched' List, if you have done it by accident.

But there may be another prerequisite to do an autopsy on them other than finding Corpses.

You also can not autopsy Advent-Corpses until you have don e certain research, even if you are piling up Corpses.

In order to execute the Archon Autopsy, you have to have researched Alien Biotech, but it seems impossible that you wouldn't have that researched by the time you start encountering Archons.

I believe, if for some reason you have gotten to the point where the Archon Autopsy can be performed instantly, that you actually need five (or eight, on legendary) Archon corposes in order to insta-research it. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

But then it would have shown up in the List with 'not enough Materials'

Yeah, Alien Biotech was one of the first things I researched.

Hold up... I just realized my inventory actually says I have 0 Archon Corpses despite the fact I have 3 kills logged. That's weird. I know I got the text on the side saying that the corpse had been collected. :/

Most likely you killed them in "extraction"-type missions. You don't get corpses (just kill credit) for anything that died in a mission where you had to Evac. Your soldiers aren't lassoing up to the Avenger with dead aliens slung over their shoulders. =P

Yes, this will it be. And even if it says that, on Evac Mission you do not get the corpses, even if it say so at the right at the battle.

In the after Battle Screen you see what you have really collected.

In the german Version it is collected :)
