Do you have some mods running? Could be one of those is having some unexpected effects, but I can't really help beyond speculation, sorry.
the only active mod i have running is the brutal fix, to fix the brutal ability the chosen can have, that is the only one
100% sure it is connected to new mexico, it also connects to west africa but same issue, it won't allow me to establish contact in that region
The connections are rolled at each start of a Campaing anew. This is since XCom Vanilla so.
You are only unlukcky this time.
Btw, there is a Button right to th 'Back to Avenger' Butten wich let you see all the Connections.
A restart of Xcom 2 fixed it.
well that's the thing, i see the connections, the connections from new brazil go to new mexico and west africa, but neither connection will let me establish contact with that region
i have tried restarting the game even, validating the files and neither of those fixed the issue, it's not super serious like i need the region unlocked to do the story, all the story stuff so far has been in the regions i have been able to establish communication with but it is a bit annoying that i can not get the rest of the bonuses
So maybe you need to wait for a specific GOP/Undercover OP to pop up before you can make contact with that region.
If you're playing vanilla, how do you have so many Avatar pips? I only have 12. You have what, 25? Even Long War only gives you 20.
I have never, in war of the chosen or vanilla, got a guerilla op in a region I haven't contacted before
War of the chosen, it's one of the options you can select, i took the longer avatar project timer to make sure i can see all the new stuff the expansion has to offer
