XCOM 2
Can't Establish New Resistance Contacts
Title says it all, i started in Asia and made my way down to Australia, for whatever reason asia wasn't connected to Europe or Africa. After establishing contact in Australia, i moved to South America, but despite that its connected to North American continent, it won't let me establish any new contacts with the resistance there. It IS connected to a region I have contacted with, but it's acting as if I do not.

Did my game glitch or bug out and I am out of luck or is there something I am missing?

And yes, my max contacts can easily support making new ones.

Can you take a screenshot or two? Might make it easier to see if something is missing.

Yeah, it does look like you should be able to make contact, nothing looks wrong.

Do you have some mods running? Could be one of those is having some unexpected effects, but I can't really help beyond speculation, sorry.

the only active mod i have running is the brutal fix, to fix the brutal ability the chosen can have, that is the only one

In the screenshot the tooltip is sitting right over where the connecting line would be, so are you sure there's a Brazil/Mexico connection? They're random each campaign, do it could just be annoying and require you to zigzag through Africa/Europe.

100% sure it is connected to new mexico, it also connects to west africa but same issue, it won't allow me to establish contact in that region

Yeah seen people complaining about that bug before, it was introuced in wotc i think

No Bug, you can go to Africa from there. And then to Europe and then to NA.

The connections are rolled at each start of a Campaing anew. This is since XCom Vanilla so.

You are only unlukcky this time.

Btw, there is a Button right to th 'Back to Avenger' Butten wich let you see all the Connections.

No I've run into the by. The connections are there but for some reason wouldn't let me click the make contact button.

A restart of Xcom 2 fixed it.

well that's the thing, i see the connections, the connections from new brazil go to new mexico and west africa, but neither connection will let me establish contact with that region

i have tried restarting the game even, validating the files and neither of those fixed the issue, it's not super serious like i need the region unlocked to do the story, all the story stuff so far has been in the regions i have been able to establish communication with but it is a bit annoying that i can not get the rest of the bonuses

A potential solution is actually right in the tooltip 'Or we must complete a Guerillia OP in this region'
So maybe you need to wait for a specific GOP/Undercover OP to pop up before you can make contact with that region.

Nice to have no active Dark Events.

If you're playing vanilla, how do you have so many Avatar pips? I only have 12. You have what, 25? Even Long War only gives you 20.

I have never, in war of the chosen or vanilla, got a guerilla op in a region I haven't contacted before

War of the chosen, it's one of the options you can select, i took the longer avatar project timer to make sure i can see all the new stuff the expansion has to offer

its one of the "second wave" settings when starting up a new game, can double the amount of pips to 24 on the avatar project bar.

Neither have I, but the tooltip suggests it being possible.
