XCOM 2
Do you all use/disable the Anarchy's Children cosmetics?
Yo,

So I bought the season pass or whatever to get all the dlc a long time ago, but the more I play this game (and since returing for WotC), I really don't like 90% of the Anarchy's Children cosmetics. I know you can adjust the slider, but whenever you upgrade to predator armour it randomizes your cosmetics again resulting in fabulous feather shoulders among my A-team.

I'm thinking about disabling it completely to avoid the hassle...What do you all do? Do you like the cosmetics? Do you just deal with it and take the few you may like? Or do you disable it? Just curious about people's opinion...

Separate arms are part of anarchy children, which many cosmetic mods use, plus they not all bad, but not hurt by keeping it on. Less hassle when mods depend on them

I don't like any of the helmets, it is too far for my taste. The other stuff, even if it is spiked armor is somewhere in the range of more reasonable than top hats and masks.

bought it, tried it as i had found one haircut i could go with, and uninstalled it a day later as ONE haircut was not enough to justify the hassle(even minute as it is) of the separate arms thing.

I'm a sucker.

Warden armors are awesome. Predator is kind of meh. Kevlar has some fun stuff that can fit quite well.

yea i think it kinda went too far with overall edginess, and the fact, that you have to redisign your soldier after the armor change, can get annoying, specially with bigger rooster that war of the chosen force ppl to have.

I keep it enabled with the sliders to 'off'. I only use bare arms, knuckle dusters and on rare occasions the mohawk haircut. The rest is off limits for beig completely out of touch with the game. What were they thinking? I am ok with community modders adding random and right out crazy stuff but not from the devs. They may have had a laugh while creatig this DLC but we are on the cringing and paying side.

I highly doubt no one at 2k ever said during a meeting "Guys, about this new DLC...."

I use parts of it, but have slider set to zero. The game makes ugly enough random people without the extras. I think the space mask is decent, it's not as over-the-top as the gas mask and I also like the ammo gauntlet and basic pauldrons for people without sleeves. I could easily do without most the things in the pack, but having more options is good I think.

I love it, guess I am in the minority. Personally I don't understand the 'doesn't fit in x-com' thing most people say... its a post apacolyptic/distopian world over run by aliens who can shape-shift and mind control people.

I keep it, but just reduce the sliders to almost nothing. If one appears it`s rare, which I can tolerate... like seeing a 1980s punk walking down the street.

I like it enough to leave the slider on default. That the higher tier armours are more toned down, especially top tier, can fit with a story of a bunch of misfits forged through fire into an alien killing super team :steamhappy:. Even EU/EW had a few silly hats, I used to put the cowboy/bonnet looking one on MECs all the time!

Seperate arms & shoulder introduced by Anarchy is the big deal imo, especially when you start throwing in mods that use those slots too.

I use it all. I increase the slider slightly.
I let the random customizations my squadies turn up in dictate there character and bio.
They get more proffesional looking if they manage to stay alive and get promoted.
Its not unocommon for me to have a full on tacticool grenadier playing hand in hand with a psi trooper in purple leapord skin and a voodoo top hat.

The spiked shoulders, leather trousers, jeans and t shirts etc, work great with berets, peaked caps and comedy hair styles for your "recruits" early game. Since lots of these have pre defined bios that they are the fringes of society the tatoos and piercings work great.

As I advance some get more tacticool and a helmet instead of a hairstyle is almost a necessity once you get to plated armour.

The flight helmets look great on snipers.
The space helmets work good on specialists.

You can combine the tactical helmet from capnbubs with some of the lower face props and it works great on rangers in exo/war armour.

You can combine the machine style helmets with the titanfall armour pack to make half man half machine squadies.

The workshop as firaxis no doubt expected is flooded with tacticool cosmetics ripped off from other games.

The one problem with the cosmetics as that you dont see alot of them for very long. As soon as you get your first armour upgrade it locks out a big chunk of the body cosmetics.

I like the SPARK head it has, but it's not worth it to make everyone look ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous.
Don't have it installed.

Separate arms come from that? I wondered what was up with customisation.

What's that about AC Spark head? Shen's Last Gift came out months after Anarchys Children though?
ToJKa Sep 7, 2017 @ 1:21pm
There is a one-eyed head for spark that you can only select if you have the anarchy pack installed. Sort of looks like a security camera.
