Do you guys have a favorite Chosen? If so, why?
Personally, I prefer the Assassin, she's a goof.

I like the Hunter, just for how self-aware and flippant he is, to the very end.

I would be surprised if losing to him in his base attack didn't end in him waddling at the commander with his arms open going "I'ma getcha! I'm gonna get'cha!"

I like the warlock because you can just spam mindshields and laugh at his attempts to mind control you.

The Hunter, because he's Nolan North.

I find their monologues rather bogus, distracting, and not particularly immersive.

I only like the Hunter, personality-wise. The other two are extremely generic villains.
On the other hand, I only respect the Assassin as an opponent. The other two never landed a single attack on me before they died, whereas almost everyone in my top squad has a scar from the Assassin.

I respect and even like the assassin at the end, (spoilers inbound but idk how to do the filter). She was always a major threat i had to basically just spam end turn with a killzone prepared for her to come to me so i could gang up and annihilate her after enduring her initial strike. Yet while she did her usual annoying alien superiority speech she was actually a pretty respectful opponent later on, even praising you for your endurance in the face of overwhelming odds and when you strike her down she dies in a Samurai like way for an honorable death (which she even said she would give your men should they fall) saying that we have earned the right to reclaim our world. She respects you as a foe and understands the tides of war and i have to respect her for that; i haven't met the warlock yet but the hunter is so far kinda "meh" to me but i haven't done much with him.

You do the filter by doing (spoiler) text (/spoiler) but replace ( with [ and ) with ].

Did you read the stuff about them in the commander's room? She's pretty much programmed to be an idealist. Which makes me have less respect and more pity for her character.

The hunter seems to be the only complex personality. The idea that he was a top Reaper turned bad guy is cool. (And super comic-cliche. But they weren't aiming for writing-awards on these characters.)

It's super worth noting that Feraxis was super not used to doing anything like this before, and it was very much something new for them, that they got excited for and just kinda had fun with.

Have to agree, the Hunter was my favourite nemises. He reminds me of Black Adder if anyone remembers that.

Probably the last place I expected a reference to that. I agree though, if Edmund Blackadder became an alien he`d be the Hunter.

I did read it but I still like the samurai type deal with her, I found the hunter just annoying in general and was glad when I finally put him down. Not to mention I don't think he ever landed a sniper shot on my forces. Also [/testing]
