Gifted, Genius, Savant - What is the order of them?
Im talking about the AP's that your soldiers earn

Im guessing, worst to best - Savant, Gifted, Genius?

I'd say its Gifted<Genius<Savant. Since a savant is supposed to know anything and everything relating to what they are interested about.

It's tricky.

A savant is supposed to be good at some things and terrible at others, also what they're good at they don't necessarily have the general competence to apply fully.
Gifted means in the top 3% / 98th percentile.
Genius in this case should mean best in their field.

So I'll go with OP's suggestions but I'm sure someone will be able to confirm exactly, or figure it out through total AP gains. Anyone got the code or some statistics?

Savant seems to have crazy amount of AP, close to 100 at Colonel.

Yeah its very ambiguous they should have used blander terms to avoid confusion

Agree, or they could've just added a tutorial that ordered them, or a number in brackets. I'm sure someone knows the answer, so maybe savant is top if they consistently gain the most AP.

ComIntAboveAverageChance=50
ComIntThresholds[0]=50 ; 25% chance
ComIntThresholds[1]=80 ; 15% chance
ComIntThresholds[2]=99 ; 9.5% chance
ComIntThresholds[3]=100 ; 0.5% chance

BaseSoldierComIntBonuses[eComInt_Standard]=0
BaseSoldierComIntBonuses[eComInt_AboveAverage]=1
BaseSoldierComIntBonuses[eComInt_Gifted]=2
BaseSoldierComIntBonuses[eComInt_Genius]=4
BaseSoldierComIntBonuses[eComInt_Savant]=7

ResistanceHeroComIntModifiers[eComInt_Standard]=1.0
ResistanceHeroComIntModifiers[eComInt_AboveAverage]=1.083
ResistanceHeroComIntModifiers[eComInt_Gifted]=1.167
ResistanceHeroComIntModifiers[eComInt_Genius]=1.25
ResistanceHeroComIntModifiers[eComInt_Savant]=1.5

First of all, I think Savants are 5x as common as they said they were on stream, unless there's a special modifier applied to make them rarer than the config says. Now, the way I read the AP modifiers is that Combat Intelligence doesn't actually influence AP gained by combat actions at all (at least, these ini entries don't seem to modify it), it just changes what soldiers gain on level up. Regular XCOM soldiers get I believe +3 AP per rank at standard intelligence, and an above average score directly adds to that amount, up to a somewhat silly 10 AP / rank at Savant level. Faction classes ('Resistance Heroes') gain more than that (since it's the only way they level up), which is then multiplied based on their Intelligence, up to +50% at Savant. I'm not sure how much they normally gain, but it's at least +10 per rank.

EDIT: I did a search in the config, regular soldiers may gain a more generous 4-10 AP (at random) instead of 3, making the relative impact of Intelligence slightly lower. Still not sure about the faction classes.
