XCOM2 doubled in size?
After WotC innstalled XCOM2 folder doubled in size, but inside Xcom2-warofthechoosen subfolder exist another copy of XComGame wich looks almost the same. So i have 2 questions:
1. Wtf?
2. Can i just delete original XComGame folder to free up some space since i will only be playing add-on?

If its there its there for a reason. Randomly deleting things almost alwasy breaks something. ANd of course it almost doubled the size. Its a very big expansion.

Well spotted. Try it, see if Steam downloads it again.

Oh You'd be surprised how often lazy coders just leave outdated lines commented not removing them. Same goest for libraries/assets. In this case i can guess they just left unmodifed version there, probably for purpose of old version mods compatibility.
So yeah its not that there is a lot of new stuff there but more like they reworked old stuff alot.

Anyways, I tried to delete insides of XComGame folder and it works perfectly fine so far.
But i'm not planning on playing original version anyway.

the Base game and WotC are seperate games, so yes you will see double zs one is old version and one is WotC

They did exact same with EW

ANd therefore you either removed the original game or you removed WOTC.

So if you never plan to play the game without WOTC I presume you can go ahead and delete that old XComGame and free up 30+GBs right?

What's WOTC? How big is the new dlc file anyway?
Nitpik Aug 29, 2017 @ 10:37am
Its the new expansion and its 30.1GB

XCOM 2's movies folder is over 6GB, whereas the WotC movies folder is just under 3GB, it's missing quite a few movies. Wonder if you'll miss out on some movie sequences then?

First off kid I have deleted other games. Second I am not on a desktop playing games. Don't worry about me getting a flash drive to play it. It's only $8 to get on for 32g and $17 for 64. I might just get two 32's. So just cause I don't have the extra 30gb space for dlc I need flash drive kid

Ok seems like the game still uses some files from original folder. Need to do it hard way to figure wich of them you can delete.
