War of the Chosen space requirements

XCOM 2 requires 45 GB of available space. War of the Chosen requires 65 GB, but does that include the base game's space or should I assume vanilla plus the expansion are bound to take up a massive 110 GB?

Clarification would be appreciated. 110 GB of SSD space is precious digital real estate, and it seems rather excessive in this case. I'd rather not have to migrate the whole thing to my slower HDD, but that might leave me no choice.

Since it is moddable and the files are going to be uncooked apparently i would assume the expansion would be 65 gb and larger then the original game.
But that is a guess.

Uncooked files were a separate tools download for EU, so I wouldn't jump to that conclusion.

I don't think the expansion will be 65GB by itself, perhaps that's the basegame + the EP together.

Also for reference the base game ISN'T exactly 45GB Big, in my installation folder the game is 36.9GB only so I'm guessing 45GB was just a rough guesstimate.

Could also be that they were closer at first and later compressed files a bit more than when they made those estimates or that the innitial installation needs a bit of additional free space.

They're probably allowing for some save games and other folders in your documents hierarchy, not just in the install directory.

I was expecting this kind of reply at some point. Yeah, I'm not about to buy new hardware and migrate my whole operating system for the sake of a single, bloated game.

It would be silly if the expansion would be larger than the base game, so I think it's a pretty decent bet that the 65GB are with the basegame and not on its own.

So, anyone who can confirm? I've heard WotC's "patch" size is 30 GB, which may mean that the whole deal's over 100 GB after all.

This is madness seriously. 66g for an install, especially as the maps are procedurely generated. What the hell did they put in their assets files?

After installing the DLC (every official DLC) and the various mods I had (around 10) installed prior to War of the Chosen the total file size of the Xcom 2 folder is 68.5gb.

ok next time they will remove all HD textures/ cut scenes and only add low res texture in the game. Everytime somebody is unhappy ;).
