Firaxis/2K declared in the past that they never intended developing the game for multi-monitors nor do they offically support it.
Still give it a try and ask in the XCom2 tech support forum. Hopefully another player with yoru setup had the same problem and foudn a solution
I remember that back few months ago in Firaxis/2K forum.
Sadly I can't provide hard facts (links) but on the other hand and a quick google search didn't showed my proper results.
I assume if there would have been an official multi-monitor support there would have been settings in game options. Right now those multi-monitoring is only available tweaking ini settings.
By the way I had a lapsus I didn't described the issue right, I'll try to edit above. The pause is not after the unit's movement, it is BEFORE the movement. Again, it is not freeze or low performance, I can move camera, see units animations, etc all fine, just he or she waits several seconds before move.
As BourbonKid said, Firaxis does not support muti-monitor setups for XCOM 2. AR

DO NOT adjust the xfov to yfov
