XCOM 2

5-6 seconds delay before every unit's movement but only when playing multi-monitor
I have PC with windows 7 and three monitors, one central of 3440x1440 and two side-monitors 2560x1440 each, under an ATI R9 Fury.
When I play with the center, everything goes fine with the game.
When I play with the 3 monitors and Eyefinity, and I set the game resolution to 8560x1440, everything continues to work fine EXCEPT an annoying problem that I do not understand what has to do with the monitors. ONLY when I'm in multi-monitor, every time I give movement actions to an unit, it takes 5-6 seconds waiting before making finally the movement action It is not frozen or blocked or low performance, no, the performance is still good, I can see unit's animations, can move camera perfectly, etc, the just do a very long pause before moving. f I press the TAB key to jump to next unit, then the first unit starts the movement immediately skipping absurd pause, so I can workaround the issue by giving order and then pressing tab to next unit, then come back to first unit if I need to shot or something, but the problem is when it is the last unit of the turn, there is no way to skip the annoying and so long pause because there are no other unit to jump to.
It only happen before a movement, and always happens, though in few times also happen before shooting or making another action.

Setting back the resolution to 3440x1440 solves the problem completely and the game goes normally, so in the end I always end up playing only at central monitor, but I would like to play at 8560x1440 without the annoying wait at the end of the movement of each unit.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thank you in advance.

I suggest ask AMD/Eyefinity for support.

Firaxis/2K declared in the past that they never intended developing the game for multi-monitors nor do they offically support it.

Still give it a try and ask in the XCom2 tech support forum. Hopefully another player with yoru setup had the same problem and foudn a solution

I seem to recall something similar from some time ago. Did you search this forum?

I remember that back few months ago in Firaxis/2K forum.

Sadly I can't provide hard facts (links) but on the other hand and a quick google search didn't showed my proper results.

I assume if there would have been an official multi-monitor support there would have been settings in game options. Right now those multi-monitoring is only available tweaking ini settings.

Thank you fro your replies. Yes I searched a lot about this, both here in this forum and at google, and I didn't found anything. Indeed is very strange because the issue itself (a very longer pause before every unit's movement) has nothing to do with resolution or multi-monitor issues.

By the way I had a lapsus I didn't described the issue right, I'll try to edit above. The pause is not after the unit's movement, it is BEFORE the movement. Again, it is not freeze or low performance, I can move camera, see units animations, etc all fine, just he or she waits several seconds before move.

There is any ini or setting where I can look for some delay or pause before doing movements, to see if I could tweak something?

Not as far as I know. It is a problem that occurs on multi-monitors. I have two, identical 4K monitors. If I set the second to just mirror the first, no delays as you describe. If I try and use my 70" 4K TV as center monitor and the two 34" 4K as left and right, I get the delay you describe.

As BourbonKid said, Firaxis does not support muti-monitor setups for XCOM 2. AR

just add fov commands to hotkeys in xcominput.ini
DO NOT adjust the xfov to yfov
