Long war 2 Commissar perk
pistol shots against allies that have been mind controlled recieve +50 to hit, cannot be dodged, and kill the target instantly.

That is... pretty brutal honestly. Kinda worried I might have to actually use that at some point lol.

On a side note.... why do the gunners get a combat knife? It makes no sense to me for a guy holding a giant minigun to put it on his back, take out a little knife and stab something, rather than just blowing it up with the minigun...

I can't imagine a time where you would need it since I try my hardest to not kill someone who is mind controlled.

Anyone know if it works on zombies?

Well it is a base line perk for officers, not something you need to research so it can't hurt to have it. I can certainly imagine some situations where having a mind controlled character run around your squad would be a lot worse than just putting him down. (sectoid mind controls your shinobi behind full cover with no way to reach him, if you let him go even one or two turns he could kill half your squad, for example)

I wonder if it works on aliens you've mind controlled, don't have a psi or an officer yet so idk.

Anyhoo, the heavy gun's accuracy at point blank is awful, that's why there's the knife. Plus sometimes you get into knife fights with stun lancers.

The accuracy penalty also doesnt make sense to me though, the minigun isnt like the sniper rifle where you would have to aim, you just point and shoot. Doesnt really even get a scope.

As for the perk working on mind controlled aliens, it specifically says "allies that have been mind controlled" so I dont think it would work that way.

So I think someone needs to test it on your mind controlled people and zombies. Just for the ayy lmaos.

well, if you mind control something, it's considered an ally, no?

I read it as "your allies who are mind controlled by Advent"
