Fire brand has annoying squeaky voice.
Anyway in regards to the voice, yeah Big Sky is still better.
I found I could tune out Firebrand easier so she gets my vote as the better pilot.
So plane wise I prefer the SKYRANGER in XCOM: EU/EW
Pilot... still the male pilot (Big sky)
But whats the deal with the squad names? In the first game you were strike 1, and that made sense. But the new team is menace 15. So im curious what Bradford isnt telling us about the existance, or fate, of teams 1 to 14.
"Big Sky" was better designed.
There was an incident where firebrand parked the skyranger too close to the wall, but I think it was solved as there's not been any new reports of the skyranger being misplaced in the hangar and with the new bar installed we can't blame firebrand for drunk driving the skyranger and maybe the reason why we always start so far away from the objective. We don't have any interceptors because Bradford fired all the pilots and he won't allow anyone else pilot the Avenger. As it stand Firebrand is the only pilot Bradford trust and I won't go too deep on the lore but it seems only men were mindcontrolled on the base defend mission. As a VO I prefer Firebrand than big sky who to me sounded generic.
I way, way prefer the redesign of "Firebrand". The two jets on the sides make way more sense in an aerospacial standpoint and the flaws of such a redesign seem to be evident on the landings animations. I also like how they removed the wheels and replaced it by something which make a ton more sense for a VTOL aircraft which will never take off from a runway in it's active life anyways.
Also, regarding to the name itself... Firebrand is a direct wink to one of X-com games. I'm not sure, might be Xcom 3. Been too long for me to remember clearly. But I do remember it's one of the names given to an X-Com made craft.
However there's a more, so to speak, intimate relationship with Firabrand because of how often you get to evacuate directly by it
