It has much more utility and has a lot of flexibility compared to Ignite.
With Steam, you can easily chat, follow, and laze around with friends, buy new and upcoming games directly from the client store, add and play multiple games from different manufacturers in your library (you can also add shortcuts to pretty much any game on your desktop straight from it!), access an in-game broswer, and extend your online reputation in the system by completing unique achievements/collecting badges/etc. Moreover, the convenience of discussing problems and tips with the community directly from the client pretty much sums it all up.
Steam has just about everything covered; from minor trades to full on sky tower runs, the ability to quickly communicate with fellow players + friends and devise schedules while at the same time being able to consult the web for guidance is already a major advantage.
If you'd prefer to stick with Ignite, that's fine, but I'm just saying... Steam: 1 Ignite: 0
As far as Client goes, it is up to you to decide - Steam can be used for a lot of games so it may be more handy if you like to have everything in the same place. Ignite on the other hand has all games published by Aeria, so if you're curious about new games coming from Asia you can also give it a shot.
Regardless, if you ever think about dropping some money in the game, I would advise you to go through the official Aura Kingdom website instead of through Steam, due to the fact that Steam does not give bonus AP when charging your account. For example, charging with Paypal on https://billing.aeriagames.com/ can give you up to 10% extra AP.
Remember that once your Aeria account and Steam account are linked (automatic when you first log in on Aura Kingdom on Steam), charging your Aeria Account on our website will also appear on Steam, so don't worry about that. Just make sure to remember your correct Aeria account name and password!
Cheers,

1. Didn't load anything up
2. Crashed my computer T )-T
I love how this developer openly advertises making microtranscations in their game with REAL MONEY in their comment.
If you're going to advertise your microtransaction crap, just put it in the game's newsletter, i'd at least tolerate it there. I would never put a penny into this game seeing as from what i've heard, their delivery system after buying currency can take up to max THREE DAYS to actually give the account said currency. The developer is just encouraging more bots by posting these types of comments advertising buying currency.
-------
The question being if I prefer aeria ignite or steam is clear, I prefer steam, I tried aeria ignite and it crashed many times and never loaded correctly without major lag and crashing.
(See the pattern? Crashing and lag aeria ignite. CRASHING + LAG= NO)
I clearly prefer steam because it offers a much wider range of games and items to choose from, and it keeps up with the times and gets brand new games out on here as quickly as possible.
Yeah, ironic isin't it?
we cant buy AP through steam because of this ... Steam message # 4282.
but aeria ignite has some problems where some files just gets deleted
but i play with aeria ignite because i make copies of the files so i have back up
you should make 3+ backups just in case
