Red Actor face

I can't find any explanation on why some of my actors have a red overlay, with an image of arms crossed or something. Any one know what causes this and how to get rid of it? Is it related to unhappiness or something?

Its if you offend them so badly they will never work for you again, you can get it by trying to make someone moral do something illegal, breaking a contract, or having them be very unhappy for too long
and probs other ways

One of the explanation may be a bug though.
At the moment if you assign anyone a bodyguard, for whatever the reason, they will refuse to wor with you again as soon as you lift the security

I just encountered this issue as well. I hope this is high on the list to fix.

Now that i know it, i can work around it, but everyone will run into this once and get locked out of an actor. Then come here and find this explanation. (the red actor portrait needs some mouse hover explanation why they don't interact with you any more.)

Also, if you have your security spy on them and they find out then they won't work for you again.

Ah, so there's no point to security right now if it's bugged. I was going to play around and unlock the dirty tricks section.

just for "protection" of the staff during filming time. (For resolving problems during events)

One of the explanation may be a bug though.

That solves my mystery.
I had an 8 star lady that I had to put a bodyguard on, because Gerstein was mad.
And for seemingly no reason she got mad at me.
But that was indeed after I had removed the bodyguard.

If you beat them and then try to murder them and they find out, then they will red face you :D

You can kidnap them and force them to work with you again, this even works against Characters with a long Contract by the Competition.
