Weird issue with brightness/image

I was playing The Evil Within - The Consequence. Felt a little bit tired, stoped playing for a while and when I got back to game, everything was "clearer", more bright.

It's not that I'm annoyed by it but it kinda fu.cks up the dark areas in the game since they are way too clear, options are allright, my monitor is allright, I checked brightness and is all right but I seriously don't understand what thappened all of a sudden and why.

Any person with the same issue or found a way how to make it look like it was before.

(restarting PC didn't solve this either, so I don't know what's going on)

Solved:

Here is how I did it in any case you suffer the same issue.

1) Go to your saved games folder and locate configuration file called: "the evil withinconfig.cfg"

2) Edit it and delete everything that is inside, save changes.

3) Make sure you have steam cloud on and start the game. The problem should be solved, reconfigure your game again.
