Really...Are you kidding me? (Spoilers maybe?)
So, I just finished the game and....that final boss...really? That was the big finale? It literally made it very obvious what to shoot at. I am really let down by the finale boss fight. I was expecting to actually use one of the medkits I had. I never used a single one because I was saving them for the end. I had 4 medkits people and never got to use them. How was that the finale boss fight...

I liked it, it kind of felt like a throwback to the older RE games. Nothing withstands a rocket launcher.

Not every boss fight needs to be super challenging. For me it was a really cathartic experience, since the game was always forcing you to conserve ammo and spend resources wisely. It pretty much just let you have free reign with unlimited sprint and ammo during that sequence, which was really awesome and fun!

The final boss is appropriately badass all the same and it was a great ending to the gameplay. The story ending, however, was terrible and nothing was explained. But I guess they left that for the sequel and DLC.

I actually interpreted the "last boss" to be that entire sequence from the moment you stare into Ruvik's eye--the waves of zombies you fight, the two safeheads, sneaking past those eyes, up until the rocket launcher scene. That whole thing is the "boss fight" and if you look at it that way, I'd say the last boss was pretty epic.

I'm with this guy. The last enemy you fight is kind of a pushover -- more of a cinematic experience than a legitimate challenge. But the parts leading up to that are plenty challenging. Overall there's enough meat to the conclusion that I didn't feel let down.

It's comparable to Final Fantasy X's "final boss"; it's mostly there as part of the story, not to be super hard. The real challenges were the parts leading up to that point.

I would have at least liked to punch a rock a little bit.

AHAHAHAHAHA... This comment is awesome. Why can't they just give us one?

I don't think I've ever played a game in this genre where the final 'boss' wasn't a pushover.

Yea, in pretty much every game of this type you had the weapons and the ammo to utterly obliterate the final boss if you had been stocking up. You had no reason to hold back anymore because the last boss was the final enemy so players typically wound up wiping the final bosses out.

RE4 had a moderate final boss fight, but I don't remember much from it.

Uh... you should use those big medkits when you're seriously injured after any fight, because they fully heal you AND give you a little more health. Saving them for the end doesn't help at all. Plus, using them disorients Sebastian and makes him stumble around and hard to control, making him an easy target.

I found Saddler a pushover, you could either stun him and stab him a few times. Or you could survive long enough for Ada to throw you the insta-win rocket launcher.

I think you don't have to take it so bad. First of all medkits have collateral effects, so it's not appropriate to use them during a fight. Btw I found the last boss very impacting, from the environment, to the adrenaline it gave to me. Of course it's not a fight where you have to use your skills, but there are many others in the game (killing Laura for example). :Ruvik:

It's only this way because it's Sebastian's fantasy at that point. Ruvik had already left that world where everyone's brain was linked and took over Leslie's body. Sebastian took control of that entire world and didn't even know it. That's why that boss fight was too easy. That's also why Leslie was walking like a normal person after Sebastian was freed from the machine.
